Getting started the easy way: use a template!

Sunday, April 20, 2014 at 7:28 PM UTC

This evening I started a side project to all of my other ones that use Bootstrap and the Bootstrap4XPages plugin. I thought it would be useful for me to have a simple starting point that comes with all settings, CSS, Java and stuff to start just right from the scratch with a new application. There are only a few tweaks needed to create an application with a complete layout, dynamic navigation items (bean-based) and with all other resources you may want to use.

The sources can be found on GitHub here and a live demo (as always) can be seen here.

I also started some other templates with Foundation and UIKit. You can also find them on GitHub:

Hi Oliver, this was and still a great foundation for bootstrap beginners like me. 'gonna say sorry for this stupid question, though. I'm still new in both ssjs and xpage and i want to do what you did in your authentication(login/logout) page. How did you do that? In my application i want the user to redirect to my login page when they access the site, please help and thank you in advance. Smile
