Schalten - aber smart!Post in german language / Artikel in deutscher Sprache

Thursday, August 17, 2017 8:12 PM UTC

Thank you, crazy cat lady!

Tuesday, August 15, 2017 7:58 PM UTC
Today the ICS community got this important information via common social networks aka Skype, Twitter and Facebook: The cat's out of the bag! in just a few weeks I'll be joining the @salesforce #Ohana I'm ridiculously excited! — Amanda Bauman (@amandabauman) August 15, 2017 To be honest: I expected that sooner or later. We talked about the situation inside IBM months ag [...]

iOS 11 beta 4 on iPad - makes sense

Sunday, July 30, 2017 11:23 AM UTC
Now with the 4th beta of iOS 11 I gave it another try on my iPad Pro 9.7". I was quite happy before with it on this device (not on the iPhone though) and I heard a lot of positive things about the new version from July 24. It seems Apple is seeding updates every 14-16 days now which is great. Besides from others blogged about (new icons and animations and other useless stuff it's one t [...]

Nanoleaf Feedback

Monday, July 3, 2017 10:22 PM UTC
I am a proud owner of the nice Nanoleaf Aurora RGB panels, I joined the beta programme for the app (iOS Testflight) and added an account on their website. Nanoleaf Aurora with Apple Homekit as light effect source from Oli on Vimeo. As long as I don't know where to post my feedback properly I will do it right here. not ready for iOS 11 (Homekit isn’t either) [...]

How I bricked my iPhone [updated]

Monday, July 3, 2017 9:29 PM UTC
You maybe read my post about my first smarthome gadget, the Nanoleaf Aurora. The setup was a bit pain in the ass, but I managed to do it though the app is crap at the moment. With Apple Homekit it worked like a charm - until I updated to iOS 11 - again. Since WWDC I installed iOS 11 on my iPad Pro and iPhone 6s, it worked „ok-ish“ but not perfect. Even wth beta 2 released some d [...]

Hands on the Nanoleaf Aurora wall light

Monday, June 26, 2017 7:46 PM UTC
I don’t remember where I first saw a demo of the Nanoleaf Aurora, but it must have been somewhere on you Youtube. I was impressed from the beginning and I showed the video to my girlfriend. Fortunately she remembered that when considering a birthday present for me - and here we are now. Unboxing I got the starter package which contains 9 panels, the controller, the power brick an [...]

My take on ISBG 2017

Tuesday, June 13, 2017 7:51 PM UTC
For the second time I was invited to join the Norwegian IBM User Group event in Oslo. I knew what to expect and again the organisers did a great job. Despite a smaller amount of attendees the sponsor line-up was awesome and this time entirely from local business partners. Times are hard for user groups in the ICS branch but the overall mood upon attendees and sponsors were posit [...]

DNUG 44 - ein Rückblick Post in german language / Artikel in deutscher Sprache

Tuesday, June 6, 2017 5:44 PM UTC

My recap on Engage.UG 2017 in Antwerp

Wednesday, May 10, 2017 8:38 PM UTC
This year’s most appreciated European user group get-together lead us to the city of Antwerp in Belgium. The country is famous for it’s ancient cities mixed with modern architecture, stunning buildings and open-minded people - and the beer, of course. The event itself is also famous for great hospitality, awesome speakers and sessions, generous sponsors (which keep the event free for a [...]
